Guardian Fire Shield: The Latest Tool to Manage the Unexpected

GreenPlanet Wholesale is excited to introduce the latest addition to its product line-up: Guardian Fire Shield (GFS). This self-contained, easily mountable fire-suppression system can provide its users with peace of mind, reliability, and performance in moments of unexpected system failures. From lighting faults to cooling system failures, the garden can be full of potential hazards. What is Guardian Fire Shield?

Guardian Fire Shield is a self-contained fire suppression system that can be easily installed in any commercial or residential setting. This small, yet powerful fire suppression system is designed to be placed above areas where a potential flame may break, for example, in the kitchen above the stove. While however useful Guardian Fire Shield may be in the home, this product also has amazing potential for the mitigation of fire damage in the garden. 

Due to its small size, the Guardian Fire Shield suppressant can be installed virtually anywhere in the garden, the most common places being above lighting panels, large outtake fans, and atop commercial dehumidifiers or air-conditioners. While relatively small, the suppression capabilities of this unit are aggressive, with the ability to cover a 16 x 16 room with non-toxic, ABC dry chemical in a matter of seconds. And unlike sprinkler systems, which activate at the sign of smoke, the Guardian Fire Shield only expels suppression chemicals when temperatures around the unit reach 135 degrees Fahrenheit. This aspect of fire prevention evidently leads to a decrease in false-alarms and subsequent water damage caused by traditional fire suppression.

While technology in the garden has paid specific attention to safety in its innovation over the years, safeguards that combat the most hazardous complications are still the most cautious response. In the home, the most common tool to fight a potential blaze is a fire extinguisher. However, in an indoor garden or greenhouse setting, there is rarely a person to monitor the facility around the clock. So, in the case of a fire, the garden would likely be left alone in these moments of vulnerability, with little help being offered from an extinguisher which requires manual operation. TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) Firmware Update 101.63.34 Now Available

Trolmaster has released its newest version of the Hydro-X Pro Control System (HCS-2) firmware that has addressed previously reported problems as well as to add some great new features.

New Features

  1. Add individual setpoints for ALL device modules. Previously the plug-in style of control modules could not have separate setpoints assigned for each module forcing the controller to use the system settings only. The new firmware allows the user to select separate setpoints for ALL device control modules. When you go into the settings for a particular device, you will now see a small asterisk/setting icon within the Temperature, Humidity and CO2 settings section. Click that icon to access individual or system settings for that device module.
  2. TrolMaster has added some new control modules called the TSH-1 and VFD-1 to control analog 0-10v and VFDmotor controllers.
  3. Created a new “spray” mode for people who need to spray their plants. Spray mode allows the user to dim their lights and activate/deactivate certain equipment while spraying.
  4. Added a user setting to select the current time zone in UTC. By entering the unit’s correct UTC timezone, the controller will be able to automatically correct / synchronize the timeclock when connected to the internet. 

How To Update Your Firmware

  1. Go to https://www.trolmaster.com/Products/FirwareUpdate?class=Support 
  2. Download the HCS-2 firmware version 101.63.34 on a USB drive with less than 32GB capacity. 
  3. Insert the USB memory stick into the HCS-2. 
  4. Go to Settings – Import / Export, select Import / Export all settings. 
  5. In the bottom window, select a file name for the settings to be saved as. 
  6. Save the file on the USB drive. 
  7. When save is complete, go back to Settings – System Reset – Firmware Update 
  8. Select the USB drive to update the firmware. 
  9. When the update is complete, go to Settings – System reset – Factory reset 
  10. When the factory reset is complete, go to Settings – Import / Export and select to Import all Settings. Find the file with the saved settings and select Open – Import. 
  11. When the import function is complete, your HCS-2 has been updated and all previous settings will be restored.
