Fish Sh!t and Your Garden: The Latest Root Enhancing Product From Fish Head Farms

Upon reading the label, you may feel that Fish Sh!t is just another product that seeks to entice its viewers with an overt, almost shocking name; but on a closer reading of the guaranteed analysis, serious growers will understand the potential benefits of a product like Fish Sh!t. Fish Sh!t is a proprietary root enhancing supplement manufactured by Fish Head Farms in Rhode Island, produced with the sole intention of introducing a clean and organic product which improves the vitality, quality, quantity and taste of plants and plant products. What is Fish Sh!t?

Dosage and Use:

Fish Sh!t is hyper-concentrated and can be used throughout all stages of the plant life-cycle, even helping to break down heavy salts left by synthetic fertilizers in the weeks before harvest. A typical enrichment of  Fish Sh!t comes in at 1mL per gallon of water; to provide a more aggressive dose, for example, while transplanting, or during vegetative growth, Fish Sh!t is recommended to be used at 6mL per gallon for the first feeding, and 3-6mL every feeding thereafter. Fish Sh!t can even be used as a root-dip for cuttings and clones – just mix equal parts water and Fish Sh!t for the highest success rate. Whenever you choose to enrich your media with Fish Sh!t, step back, watch your plants, and expect a vigorous growth spurt! MAKE THE CONNECTION

The LMA-T works specifically with the ThinkGrow LED systems to provide two-channel control, which allows separate control for full-spectrum and deep red output levels on the ThinkGrow LEDs. The LMA-T simply connects to the lighting control ports Line 1 and Line 2 on the Hydro-X. Once connected, the user can then set individual ON and OFF times and the dimming settings for the full spectrum LEDs and also for the deep red LEDs. The LMA-T then is connected to the RJ type lighting control cables where each of the LEDs are connected back to the controller in a daisy-chain configuration using plug-and-play connections. One adaptor could run up to 256 ThinkGrow LEDs.

How to Grow a Consistent Crop

Growing crops that are abundant one year, but waning the next – does not a happy farmer make. Consistent crops that flourish year after year is what hobby farmers and large-scale producers alike are looking for.

As such, there are a few things to consider to ensure your growth is optimal each and every year.

Choosing Your Plants Wisely

If you are a hobby farmer and are looking to grow a garden to produce your own – well, produce, you will want to pick young plants that are bushy and have not flowered yet. This allows the plant to acclimate in your garden environment and growing conditions, with little to no shock in the replanting process.

Replanting plants that are already flowering – means they are also potentially seeding, and puts too much stress on a plant already accustom to its environment. So choose bushy but non-flowered plants that will adjust well, to ensure your garden grows as expected

Water. Feed. Repeat.

Just as humans will become dehydrated without water, or hungry without food …so too do plants become under such conditions.

Annuals, in particular, have short roots, so if the surface of the soil is dry, or if all the nutrients have been sucked from that soil, you are going to want to water and feed your plants sufficiently. Feeding your plants every 3-6 weeks with a water soluble fertilizer, will ensure they stay healthy and robust for the season in which they are intended to grow.

Groom for Better Growth

Getting rid of dead growth will allow your plants to flourish, and it will also prevent seed pods from forming. If your flowers have began to lay dormant during the time they should still be blooming, it is likely they need some maintenance and grooming.
